Samsung Unpacked Event Postponed!!
A few days ago the tech world was dealt a tragic blow when the heart and soul of Apple Steve Jobs passed away. Samsung and Google had a large event scheduled for next Tuesday in which the world expected them to unveil not only the next Nexus phone but Ice Cream Sandwich as well. In a classy move the hard decision has been made to postpone the Unpacked event in respect to Job’s passing. With a presentation that was sure to figure around comparisons of Google’s new OS to Apple’s the timing would not be very good for Apple bashing in any way. While this is bad news for any Google fan out there, we will be covering all leaks and pictures of the Nexus and ICS as they develop. Here is the official quote from Samsung-
“Samsung and Google have decided to postpone the Samsung Mobile Unpacked event during the CTIA in San Diego, previously scheduled for Oct. 11. Under the current circumstances, both parties have agreed that this is not the appropriate time for the announcement of a new product. We would ask for the understanding of our clients and media for any inconvenience caused. We will announce a new date and venue in due course.”
Stay tuned, as soon as we know the date for the makeup conference we will let you know. Untill then this picture seemed fitting to me. At a time like this you realize how closely knit these two companies really are.
