Sprint is Having An Android Party, New Phones From HTC and Samsung!!
If you are on Sprint and looking to get into the Android world for not alot of coin, today was a good day. Two phones were made official by Sprint that match or beat a $100 price point. Don’t think that just because the price is low these are entry-level phones. Read on to find out more about the HTC EVO Design and the Samsung Transform Ultra.
The HTC EVO Design is the latest in Sprint’s EVO line of phones. The EVO lineup has been a HUGE seller for Sprint and this phone will not disappoint EVO fans. The Design is sporting a 4″ qHD display(960×540 resolution), a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Processor, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, a 5MP rear camera with a 1.3 front facing unit. The Design comes with a WiMax 4G radio and world phone capabilities. Yes it does not blow you out of the water with sheer processing power but at this cheap what can you expect? The Design is available from Sprint for $99 however Amazon is selling for $29.99 if you sign a new two-year contract!
The Samsung Transform is another low-end offering that has some nice features. The Transform will also have Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It has a 3.5″ HGVA screen, 1GHz Qualcomm processor, 3MP camera on the back with a VGA front facing camera. The Transform also features a full slide out QWERTY keyboard and Sprint 3G radios. The Transform will be available for $80 with a new two-year contract.
With all the news about blockbuster superphones dropping right and left it is nice to see Sprint making sure that all budgets have access to Android phones. If this is all you want to spend or your kids need a smartphone look no further than these two offerings from Sprint!
