Droid XYBoard Accessories Are Arriving at Verizon!!
So it seems Mr Blurrycam has given us some shots of the Motorola Droid XYBoard. If you did not know this is the badly named successor to the Motorola Zoom. The Zoom has been an interesting experience for both Moto and end users. The tablet was billed as a 4G LTE device however it shipped with 3G only and the user had to send the tablet back to Moto to have a LTE radio installed. Maybe Moto is looking to forget this tablet with the new XYBoard moniker. Either way this tablet will be the first Droid branded tablet on Verizon and will come in 8″and 10″ flavors.
The 10″ will be targeting both recreational and business users alike. The tablet will ship with a stylus and there will be a blue-tooth keyboard available to purchase as well. The 8″ will include an upgraded sound system and media dock as well and be geared more towards personal use. Both of these devices will be shipping with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, Android 3.x Honeycomb, 1GB of RAM, and of course 4G LTE radios. The real question is with the quad-core Transformer Prime set to release this month and numerous quad-core tablets in the works, will anyone be interested in the XYBoard? At least Moto is shipping these with 4G from the jump however it will be interesting to see how well they compete once the Transformer Prime debuts.
