Internal Sprint Document Shows Insurance Is Going Up For All LTE Devices

Sprint has increased the price of it’s Total Equipment Protection (insurance) Program for LTE devices. It is going up approximately 3 bucks  from around $8 to $11 and the deductible for such phones has gone up considerably as well from around $150 for the average high end handset to around $2oo for any of Sprint’s new LTE handsets. This is admittedly an inconvenience as the monthly rate has already increased once the end of 2011 but with Sprint’s unlimited data rates remaining the same it’s a inconvenience I think we should grin and bare.  Owning a smartphone without TEP is just plain silly anyway so I guess we have no choice.
