AT&T S4 Equipped HTC One X Vs Tegra 3 Powered HTC One X, Benchmark Shootout!!!

So I know we have been covering HTC’s new one series pretty extensively but with the phone being such a great choice there is a good chance a lot of you will end up with one.  The international version of the phone will be shipping with a quad-core Tegra 3 processor while the US version on AT&T will arrive with the dual-core Snapdragon S4 Krait chip on board.  The reason behind this choice is that AT&T has its shiny new LTE network and damn it, the Tegra 3 processor just does not play well with it so the choice was made to go with the S4.  In the video below you can see the two of them stacked up side by side on boot up times and the  AnTuTu benchmark test.

Now as you can see the Tegra 3 boots up quicker, loads faster, and wins the battle of the benchmarks.  There has been a battle raging as a lot of potential customers feel short-changed getting a device with dual-core instead of quad.  This video most likely will not help that argument however it does not tell the whole story.  We all know that benchmarks are simply a way to measure a processors performance and do not really equate into real world performance.  The S4 processor is MORE then capable of giving you a great experience and anyone who avoids this phone just because of the processor choice is really going to miss out on a nice device.  So take these tests with a grain of salt, this phone is already a beast and wait untill the aftermarket community gets a hold of it!!
