So Facebook as had an interesting ride lately.  First they created a bit of a stir by putting out an update to their Android app that placed shortcuts in your app drawer for their Messenger and Camera app whether you wanted it or not.  Then Facebook updated their app to take care of these obtrusive apps and remove them from your drawer. However something else found its way into the update that you should be aware of.  In version 1.7 you can unlock full Stalker status using Facebook messenger.

We have all had that moment where someone messages you and either you do not have time to talk or the desire to answer.  However the new update now allows users to see that you have read their message and chosen not to respond so don’t think you are going to be using the “I didn’t get the message” tactic.  In addition you can optionally see the location of the user when they sent the message as well.  I am going to go on record and say that this new ability is going to start some epic fights somewhere…. In the meantime if you want to check out the new features or avoid it all together, it is v.1.7 in the Google Play Store.
