Yesterday on phone arena it was reported that press images of the new Google Nexus tablet had been leaked to them (see above.) I for one am quite excited about the prospect of a Tegra 3 tablet for around 200 bucks and can’t wait to see it come to fruition. Rumor has it the tablet will sport the next version of Android 4.1 known as Jelly Bean and bring with it a plethora of new features. Another aspect of the story is the fact that today Google will show off their new version of 3-D maps which looks amazing and will almost certainly be loaded on to this bad boy out of the box. One thing that strikes me as odd is the placement of the speaker which would be better suited for a phone than a tablet but it looks like this thing has a rear shooter. Cosmetically the traditional two tone look that Asus uses can be clearly seen here on the back of the tablet which may well lend a bit of credibility to these leaked images.
