Samsung Galaxy S III Delays Rolling In, First T-Mobile And Now Sprint!!!

The Samsung Galaxy S III was announced in London on May 29th of this year.  The rollout of the device that followed saw the phone drop in 28 countries.  In addition over 9 million pre-orders were placed globally on more than 100 carries across the world.  Now surely with a demand such as this even Samsung will have trouble filling the demand? I am sorry to say this looks to be true as news is coming in that the phone will be slightly delayed on a couple of carriers here in the States.

First up is Sprint.  If you were smart enough to pre-order this phone then you may still be in luck. Anyone who snapped up a 16GB version on pre-order will still be receiving their device on June 21st as promised.  They are planning on shipping the 32GB version of the phone next week although no exact day was given on the press release.  The reason Sprint is giving is overwhelming demand and limited supply.

Now for you T-Mobile users out there.  T-Mobile has chosen a little bit of a different tactic.  They are splitting the launch into two days, with the most popular markets getting the phone on June 21st and all the rest of us having to wait another week untill June 27th.  Wondering if you are in the cool kids club and living in a popular market? Here is the short and sweet list,

LosAngeles,CA – Chicago,IL – Phoenix,AZ – Houston,TX – SanDiego,CA – NewYork,NY – Seattle,WA – Miami/Ft.Lauderdale,FL – Dallas/Ft.Worth,TX – SanFrancisco,CA – SaltLakeCity,UT – Denver,CO – Minneapolis,MN – Tampa/St.Petersburg,FL – Philadelphia,PA – SanAntonio,TX – Portland,OR – Austin,TX – Atlanta,GA – KansasCity,MO – Boston,MA – Sacramento,CA – Orlando,FL – Detroit,MI – WashingtonDC – Cleveland,OH – Jacksonville,FL – Charlotte,NC – McAllen,TX

If you live in these cities look for the phone to release on the 21st, if not you will be stuck waiting till the 27th with the rest of the country.  But Josh it is only a few more days right? Tell that to the people who have been waiting for this phone for weeks already. However, this was bound to happen and with Verizon slowly but surely pushing it’s release day back a day at a time it may not be the last news we hear about this device being delayed. In the meantime all of you out there on Sprint and T-Mobile, time to go adjust that big red circled day on your calender, you may just have to wait a few more days!!
