Ra6eQUIT: Ragnarok Online Rebellion Of The Valkyrie For Android, The Classic MMO Is Back!
Classic Ragnarok Gameplay
One of the fond memories I have is of playing Ragnarok Online for entire afternoons without taking a break. The game was fun engaging and even down right difficult in a lot of ways, and delivered an old school rpg look in a massively multi player format. At first glance one would wonder if Ragnarok was even a persistent world as it looks and even plays like a single player rpg from the Super Nintendo era but delivers hard core game-play far beyond its what it’s cutesy graphics would insinuate. A group of developers known as Team Andro have brought the game to the Android platform keeping it patched and running as the game is updated. Though it is not fully translated into English and is still in it’s native Korean in some places the game is very playable especially for those familiar with the game. New players will find Ragnarok inviting though it can be a grind fest it plays very well on Android and thus far there hasn’t been a playable version outside of Japan.
Features With More To Come
Three Classes are currently available for play two with male and one with a female character model Swordsman, Magician and Acolyte respectively. All of the areas have yet to be added into this version of Ragnarok either and veterans will see distinct differences mostly to sim0plify the gameplay for e.g. the path to attaining a job class in Ragnarok Online was a long and arduous one and this version has opted to forgoe those quest allowing you to get right into the action with your chosen class. This also leaves many job classes currently unchoosable but progress is being made and can be checked out in the forum for Andro Team. (Forum links and additional information can be found on our splash page here)
Team Andro is doing an excellent job maintaining the game and getting the translation done. The Apk files can for Ragnarok Online Rebellion of the Valkyrie can be found in the XDA thread for the game. In case you were wondering I’m on the Poring server (which is the third one from the top of the list) this is the server where many English speaking players can be found. If you see a mage named Theoria stop and say hello.
More to come as progress as made on this marvelous version of Ragnarok.
