So this is what I have been doing with my afternoon. Playing with Cyanogen Mod 10. This is an unofficial build but I have yet to find anything that does not work and that has me pleasantly surprised. It also has the following features present in the build:

• Interface Status Bar
• Lockscreen with Customizable Shortcuts
• Framework (add power widgets) WIP
• safe headset volume and audo dock support WIP

Make sure you get the gapps package from the OP linked to as well as the ROM.

It was nice to be greeted by Cid (the CyanogenMod mascot already a mere few days into having the Nexus 7. That being said Nexus 7 development has been moving at a pretty good pace thus far. So add this build of CM 10 to a fast growing list of ROM’s available for the Nexus 7. Link to the original post on XDA Developers below.
