We Know HTC ERA 42 Is A Beast,But Is It The One X+?

No secret who my personal favorite of Android manufacturer is and I got to say I have thoroughly enjoyed My HTC EVO 4G LTE despite the Nexus 7 I have has stole a lot of it’s proverbial thunder. Well enter the HTC ERA 42 and with it come rumors of it being the successor to the T-Mobile “G” brand of phones (you may have heard of the G1 and 2).  However, TMoNews is now reporting that this isn’t part of that series of phones at all. In fact its the rumored HTC One X+. This fits quite nicely with the processor upgrade to the Tegra 3+ processor that was shown off in benchmarks a few weeks ago. The phone will also rock a 720 p HD display and run on T-Mobile’s HSPA+ 42 Mbps network(hence ERA 42) further adding to the conclusion that this is another HTC One variant and perhaps confirming HTC’s promise that they are sticking to that design and won’t be releasing their customary plethora of devices this year. Though some may be holding on to the idea that this is a T-Mobile G series phone I firmly believe this is indeed the One X+. We may know by September according to leaked roadmaps and other rumors say it may even be coming with a stock OS on board. Now that last part seems a bit too good to be true if you ask yours truly but again we will see in due time. If it is true HTC may have another winner on it’s hand and it does not hurt that it will be on T-Mobile’s blazing HSPA+ network with that new Tegra 3 under the hood. Can’t wait.
