Want To Use Google Wallet On Your Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III LTE?? XDA Hack Makes It Possible!!!

So you have a shiny new Rooted Samsung Galaxy S III and want to finally use that NFC capability hidden deep inside the phone?  Well if you are on Verizon, it is going to take a little bit of hackery.  Since the Galaxy Nexus dropped on Big Red’s network folks have been asking about using Google Wallet.  Wallet is Google’s own NFC payment system that has a whole variety of stores backing it.  Verizon has seen fit to put the kibosh on Wallet since the launch of the Nexus and the trend has continued with the GSIII.  Verizon is attempting to develop its own mobile payment system called ISIS and does not want users to get spoiled using Wallet when they can shoehorn their own NFC payment system onto your phone soon.

This has led to no small amount of friction between Google and Verizon. If you are rocking a GSIII on Sprint, guess what? Google Wallet is installed and working right out of the box.  Well thanks to Dustin Evans and Mike Beauchamp those of us on Verizon are not longer left in the cold! If you have a rooted GSIII and are not afraid to mess with the software you can have Google Wallet up and running very quickly.  Here is the video of Wallet being used to buy a breakfast sandwich and if you are interested head on over to the XDA link below to see how to do the install!!!!!
