Sunday August 19th is the day for Motorola’s Photon Q. Many of my fellow Sprint buddies need a slider. It’s their main requirement aside from decent specs and  maybe Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on board. Motorola and Sprint has them covered with what is easily the most powerful slider available on the carrier.  It will be the first of Motorola’s handsets to offer an unlockable bootloader and that’s a big boon to flash-a-holics out there. The photon Q has features to match. Quoting Jkeen’s article on the unlockable bootloader which can be found HERE:

 The phone features a 4.3″ qHD display with Colorboost technology, yes that is the largest display you can currently get on an Android Slider right now. The Q also features a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 8MP camera with 1080p video, front facing HD camera, 1GB of RAM, Android 4.0 ICS, NFC, expandable SD storage, LTE radio, and a backlit QWERTY keyboard.  Sounds like a pretty capable QWERTY right?

Yowzers. I’m not a slider man  myself but this one is the top of the line with ample screen space, processing power and the ICS. What more can we say. Link to Sprint preorders below.
