Verizon Set To Release Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 In 7″ Flavor On August 17th!!
Starting with the Kindle Fire on Amazon the 7″ tablet scene has become very hot! The Fire was a huge seller for Amazon and Google was swift to show them how it was done with the Nexus 7 tablet. Now it looks like it is Samsung’s turn to get in the game. This is not Sammy’s first 7″ tablet but it is bringing some nice specs to the table. The tablet which I am just going to call the 7 from here on out will be releasing on Verizon’s 4g LTE service on August 17th for $349. This is nowhere near as cheap as some of the competition so what does the price difference get you?
The device has a 7″ display with 1026×600 resolution, a 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, Android 4.0.3 ICS, IR so you can use it as a remote control, 8GB of expandable Internal Storage, 3.2MP rear camera, VGA front facing unit, and of course 4G LTE. So while this tablet does not have AOSP, or quite the power of some tablets, it does have 4G speeds and internal storage that is micro-SD expandable up to 64GB!
