3G Equipped Nexus 7 Tablet Coming In Six Weeks??!!
To say that the Nexus 7 tablet has been popular may be a bit of an understatement. It brings very good hardware combined with Google’s latest software at a very nice price. If there is one aspect of the tablet that I have heard people complain about it is the lack of 3G. The initial offering of the tab has been WiFi only, which helps keep the tablet in the $200 price range along with not having to involve any carriers. Now lets say that you really want the 7 but need to have a 3G radio installed?
Paul O’Brian of MoDaCo is claiming that you may not have to wait much longer! According to his source ASUS is not only hard at work on a 3G variant but it will also be releasing in about 6 weeks. This means that production would have already started on the tablet. O’Brian doesn’t have any more details for us, no word on carriers, countries it will be released in, or even what the price difference will be. It might be good to leave this filed under rumor for now but it would be a very smart move by Google to offer this for those of us who need the tablet on the go away from WiFi.
