Oppo: iPhone 5 Is Not The Thinnest Smartphone, Display Also Surpassed By Oppo 5 (It’s Real)

When Apple announced the iPhone 5 they made the bold claim that it was the “thinnest in the world”.  People will tell you they didn’t make that claim but they certainly did (Google it). Well you may have already debunked their claim if you’ve done any reading up on the Oppo Finder (the actual thinnest phone in the world by a long shot), and now we have the Oppo 5. I have to say I am extraordinarily impressed with this handset.

  • 5 inch 1080p display with 1920×1080 screen resolution
  • 441 ppi!!!!!!!!
  • 2 GB of RAM
  • Snapdragon S4 Pro 1.5 GHz quad core processor
  • Android 4.1 JellyBean!!!!

It would seem that some do not even believe this phone is real but we are reasonably certain the image above is more than “just a rendering”. The Screen isn’t so much an overkill if you look at some of the other rumored devices from HTC etc. Why an Oppo phone is less likely to be real I am not sure, esepcially with the info on the handset coming from Chen Mingyong the companies CEO. They are a Chinese company so the chances of it coming here stateside are up in the air.  One of my favorite video bloggers, MarquesBrownLee lays out how major this phone really is  on his youtube channel below.
