Tired Of That Pesky On-Screen Menu Button On EVO 4G LTE? Rooted Users Can Remove It!
So one of the minor gripes users of Sense 4.0 devices is the method HTC has chosen to comply with ICS design guidelines for the removal of hardware menu buttons. The EVO 4G LTE has three dedicated buttons. A back button, a home button, and a multi-tasking or recent apps key. The problem is the pesky onscreen menu button that appears in legacy apps that have not added an on screen menu button or games which almost always have that on screen menu button to the far... Video: Unofficial CyanogenMOD 9 Being Ported To The EVO 4G LTE!!!
Development is moving very quickly on the Elte. First day root then a day later two recoveries (TWRP and ClockworkMOD) and the ability to write to the system, meaning flash custom ROMS. I started a thread over on XDA asking which custom ROMs the folks would most like to see come to the EVO. I think I saw AOKP a lot but most people responded with CM9. The good news is CM9 is on the way. The video below shows that the long time EVO great, Developer Kushdeck, has got... Read The Rest →
The EVO has landed: HTC EVO 4G LTE Hands On
This phone will live in infamy. It’s funny cause I think back to around the time this phone was announced people were saying it wouldn’t make history like its older sibling the HTC EVO 4G. Boy were they wrong. This is one of the first devices in history to be banned by the United States International Trade Commission due to an injunction won by Apple Inc. in December of last year. The injunction kicked in April 19th. HTC had thought ahead to remove the violation (Apple Patent 647 a patent governing... Read The Rest →
ViperROM Elite First Custom ROM To EVO 4G LTE
The EVO 3d was a tough nut to crack when it came to rooting and etc especially when hboot 1.5 was put in the mix. Not so on the HTC EVO 4G LTE as the phone actually got real root (not the stock rooted roms everyone got excited about) by way of a one click script on day one and received two recoveries immediately thereafter. It seems that HTC dev unlock left most of the system alterable aside from stuff like the radios so the developers got the go a... Read The Rest →
Editorial: Saying Goodbye To The EVO 3D
Its that time again and as I transition from EVO to EVO I always say a few words about my experience with the phone I am about to retire.
