Sunday August 19th is the day for Motorola’s Photon Q. Many of my fellow Sprint buddies need a slider. It’s their main requirement aside from decent specs and maybe Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on board. Motorola and Sprint has them covered with what is easily the most powerful slider available on the carrier. Minor Sprint G-Nex Update Incoming
If you are a Sprint Galaxy Nexus owner you will be seeing a minor update coming in just like the guys over at Verizon. Software version L700.FG01 is what it’s called and what it brings is a brand new received signal strength indicator, Sprint T.V. support, and will turn WiFi and LTE default. Well it’s about time. We’re not in Kansas anymore (pun totally intended) so we cannot reap the benefits of Sprint LTE speeds on our EVO 4G LTE here where I live in RDU but if you happen to reside in the show me state or Kansas for that matter. Sprint EVO 4G LTE going on sale at 8 a.m. Friday At Select Sprint Stores
Sprint’s public relations arm is in 5th gear regarding the launch of their new flagship handset the EVO 4G LTE (which I lovingly call the rEVO). Select Sprint stores across the country will open their doors at 8 a.m. to begin selling the new super phone. These stores will begin demonstrating the device as well. Internal Sprint Document Shows Insurance Is Going Up For All LTE Devices
Sprint has increased the price of it’s Total Equipment Protection (insurance) Program for LTE devices. It is going up approximately 3 bucks from around $8 to $11 and the deductible for such phones has gone up considerably as well from around $150 for the average high end handset to around $2oo for any of Sprint’s new LTE handsets. This is admittedly an inconvenience as the monthly rate has already increased once the end of 2011 but with Sprint’s unlimited data rates remaining the same it’s a inconvenience I think we should grin and bare....
