Minor Sprint G-Nex Update Incoming
If you are a Sprint Galaxy Nexus owner you will be seeing a minor update coming in just like the guys over at Verizon. Software version L700.FG01 is what it’s called and what it brings is a brand new received signal strength indicator, Sprint T.V. support, and will turn WiFi and LTE default. Tomorrow June 26th is the date (according to TechnoBuffalo) but of course you can check (or perhaps even force) the update. No it’s not JellyBean we know you need that Jelly goodness but right now there... Read The Rest →
JKeene-Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III First Impressions
Today I received my brand spanking new Samsung flagship phone, the Galaxy S 3. The phone comes in an rather unassuming white box with black lettering announcing what beast is within. I am not one of those people who gets salty when they don’t send it in a pretty box, since I will just put it away. Inside you will find the phone, manual, USB cord, wall plug, and an actual decent set of headphones with different covers to fit your ears. Taking the phone out the first thing I noticed... JKeene Reviews ICSourcery ROM For Galaxy Nexus LTE!!
I have reviewed alot of ROMs for the GNex in the short time I have had one. Some ROMs are all about flash, some ROMs bring you speed, and some ROMs well they have neither. The Galaxy Nexus ROM world has become dominated by a few names, Liquid, Codename, AOKP are used by alot of people. However in the search for something new I stumbled across this awesome ROM over on Rootzwiki. Team Sorcery has been hard at work on this ROM and it really shows. The ROM is not in... Read The Rest →
Sprint Nexus WILL have more powerful OMAP 4470, OMAP 5 Monstrosity Coming In The 4th Quarter!
Androidian REVolution gets very little credit for some of the stuff we break around here. I could point a couple of places and call people out for taking tips from us and then sitting on the stories and reporting them as their own but I digress. We are a pretty well connected outfit. (how bout Carrier IQ for which we were called a tabloid for breaking or how bout the Galaxy SII coming to all major carriers and the list goes on). Yes I can be outspoken and... Read The Rest →
Verizon Claims Galaxy Nexus LTE Signal Strength Just Fine!!
Since the Verizon Galaxy Nexus dropped on December 15th the internet has been filled with reports of lower LTE speeds, data drops, and in some cases no signal at all. The only thing consistent about these reports was that nothing was consistent and theories have abounded. Some said it was a LTE radio issue, some said it was a software glitch, and some just said LTE battery life sucks. I myself have not had any problems with mine except it is sometimes slow to switch from WiFi to 3G. Today... Read The Rest →
Galaxy Nexus Is Live And We Are Smiling At The Naysayers
A couple days ago we reported December 15 as the Nexus release date and I took a little heat for it. Especially yesterday when our buddies around here in the Android world were reporting that the phone would be coming “some time before the end of the year” and I doubled down on our story because I had got the info from the horses mouth. Well people are lined up across the street from my house to purchase one and I a Sprint customer look on with envy.... Read The Rest →
Galaxy Nexus On December 15! I know, I know But Verizon Says So This Time
So the guys over at Android Phone Fans aka as Phandroid have got a tip from one of their readers confirming the already speculated December 15 release of the Galaxy Nexus. The tip actually came in the form of a voicemail from the Verizon store to the lucky reader. We won’t be happy here at AndroREV until we see an actual press release but this seems very very likely. So I made a phone call to the Verizon store that’s basically right out my front door here in Durham N.C. and... Read The Rest →
Galaxy Nexus Retail Packaging And Phones Arriving at Verizon Stores!!!!
Thanks to a tipster over at XDA we have pictures of retail packaging and the phone itself, ladies and gentlemen, the Verizon Galaxy Nexus. The packaging is very understated, and comes with the usual accessories such as wall charger and USB cable. The Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be the first phone on Verizon’s service to feature a stock Android layout with no overlay and a very minimal amount of bloat. I know this is not the phone itself or a release date but it is just another sign that the launch is imminent! Here... Read The Rest →
