What’s This? HTC Has A Super Sexy Mystery Machine?
It hasn’t been a great year for HTC by any stretch of the imagination. At one point it looked like they were heading to be the number one Android maker or at least competition but things went way south for them. Myself I hate to see it as I’m a big fan and I take solace in the fact that the HTC Camp has been very very quiet lately. Then I saw these images in the gallery below and I take heart. Perhaps HTC still has some beautiful machines... Read The Rest →
HTC Thunderbolt gets working Ice Cream Sandwich data!
Ever since I found out that my good friend and developer Liquid had broken the data barrier on the Thunderbolt I’ve been ecstatic. Not to give too much information, but I have been running around like a kid in a candy store! But enough about me, theROM itself is a straight AOSP version of ICS for the HTC Thunderbolt with data/calls and messaging working correctly. Currently data only shows as 1x in the status bar but people have been reporting 3G and 4G speeds. To flash a copy of the... Read The Rest →
HTC Proto Rumored, Very Nice Mid-Level Specs On Board!!
In the cut throat world of Android phones, HTC has had its peaks and valleys. Just the other year they were on top of the Android world with best-selling phones on multiple carriers. Last year they received a lot of criticism about flooding the market with look-alike phones, confusing consumers and sales dropped. HTC decided to change their tactics and focus on releasing fewer phones but ones of greater quality and this year has shown that choice with the unveiling of the One series. While the phones have been very... Read The Rest →

The Trial Of The Century (at least for us) Begins And Why We Think Samsung May Actually Win
I won’t get on my soapbox too much on this one as I chronicled pretty well in my last editorial that covered a Samsung legal brief going into the billion dollar trial between them and Apple. Well we got more. Samsung has brought out some pretty interesting information on their designs previous to the iPhone which Apple seems to think the invented (they actually stole it from the likes of LG , Palm, HTC, Samsung and Sony and we can prove it). Case in point Apple has removed a few... Read The Rest →
HTC Facebook Phone Incoming Again….Do You Care?
Another facebook phone is on the way from HTC according to a Bloomberg report that is fast spreading across the interwebs. Bloomberg is citing a person close to the situation as their source. This is obviously facebooks attempt at leveraging the fast increasing mobile usage of the platform, and there is speculation that Zuck and co. see this as a way to make some advertising money on mobile, something they don’t appear to have a strategy for up to this point. The phone is expected to hit some time in the... Read The Rest →
We Know HTC ERA 42 Is A Beast,But Is It The One X+?
No secret who my personal favorite of Android manufacturer is and I got to say I have thoroughly enjoyed My HTC EVO 4G LTE despite the Nexus 7 I have has stole a lot of it’s proverbial thunder. Well enter the HTC ERA 42 and with it come rumors of it being the successor to the T-Mobile “G” brand of phones (you may have heard of the G1 and 2). However, TMoNews is now reporting that this isn’t part of that series of phones at all. In fact its the... Read The Rest →

HTC and Playstation, A Match Made In Heaven, Nintendo Take Notes
In February we broke a story that HTC would be getting playstation certification here. It turns out we were right. If you’ve been under the proverbial rock news broke at E3 that the Sony and HTC are teaming up to bring Playstation Certification to HTC devices. A lot of folks have speculated that this could finally bring us a REAL Playstation phone worthy of bearing the name. People are also wondering what this means for existing playstation devices. Perhaps the biggest news is the total rebranding of the Sony-Ericsson... Read The Rest →
Apple Still Trolling: Files An Additional Complaint Against HTC With The ITC
Apple Inc. has filed an enforcement action at the U.S. International Trade Commission , seeking an emergency order that would block imports of HTC’s smartphones….again. The reason is the same “data tapping” feature covered in Apple’s patent 647 which has held since the early nineties but only recently has opted ot weild against HTC smartphones and tablets. This is an interesting turn of events as after the original ban of HTC products that kept the HTC EVO LTE and the HTC One X, which HTC informed AndroREV... Read The Rest →
EVO 4G LTE Lands And Hits The Airwaves With This Great Ad
I love the EVO 4G LTE. There I said it. I also love this commercial. A well deserved celebration of the EVO line that so many people have tried and loved. Anyway if you haven’t caught it here is the first EVO LTE T.V. spot. A lot of people hate this phone for whatever reason they call it weak and etc but I guarantee you there is not a worthy phone currently available and even if that does not make you feel good perhaps this wonderful ad will. Later folks…. ... Read The Rest →
Tired Of That Pesky On-Screen Menu Button On EVO 4G LTE? Rooted Users Can Remove It!
So one of the minor gripes users of Sense 4.0 devices is the method HTC has chosen to comply with ICS design guidelines for the removal of hardware menu buttons. The EVO 4G LTE has three dedicated buttons. A back button, a home button, and a multi-tasking or recent apps key. The problem is the pesky onscreen menu button that appears in legacy apps that have not added an on screen menu button or games which almost always have that on screen menu button to the far...
