Lenovo Ideapad K1 Tegra 2 Finally Gets Ice Cream Sandwich, A Shining Example Of How To Save A Tablet

Ideapadftw

So when I had struggles with Lenovo’s Ideapad k1 I chronicled them here. Me being a fair individual,  I will give credit when it’s due and not just run my mouth when things go wrong. I would like to use Lenovo as an example here of what other manufacturers can do to add years to the life cycle of their aging devices. Lenovo had some logistical issues getting the software to run properly due to some over the top customizations in Android 3.1/2 which made the software even more sluggish... Read The Rest →

It’s Not A Transformer It’s The Lenovo Ideapad S2110

Lenovo-IdeaPad-S2110

I’m not a huge fan of Lenovo anymore. Why? well my struggles with their Lenovo Ideapad k1 is well chronicled it’s a horrible device with horrible support that took a great deal of hacking to get right. Where is it now. On my wife’s side of the bed collecting dust waiting on n ICS update so she can start using it (that’s how frustrating it is to use on Honeycomb). What Lenovo has here is another attempt at an Android tablet. You may remember us mentioning the device when... Read The Rest →

Lenovo Ideapad S2 Takes Aim At The Prime With Only Two Cores

ideapad-s2-10-a

I am the proud owner of a Lenovo Ideapad K1 which wasn’t the best experience at first but through some work and much thanks to Lenovo it turned out to be a great choice. Lenovo didn’t stop with the k1, S1 or Thinkpad thank goodness. They came to CES loaded down with serveral goodies to give the world a peak at and one of those was the Ideapad S2 so lets have a look. Obviously setting their sites on the Asus Eeepad Prime the current king of Android... Read The Rest →

Quad Core Lenovo 10.1 inch Android Tablet leaks!

lenovo-tegra-3-ics-580x376

Engadget is always on the job grabbing information and they have done it again with this one. Lenovo seems to just be full of suprises this week with Honeycomb 3.2.1 pushing out to their  Ideapad k1 tablet and now the Quad Core Monster you see above. (Courtesy of Engadget). So Asus does not own Tegra 3 and remarkably may not even be first. On board we have 2GB 1.6 GHz DDR3 RAM which makes this the most powerful tab on the planet. This time Lenovo has not left of the... Lenovo idepad k1 Android 3.2.1 Honeycomb update rolling out in the U.S.

Ideapadftw

I have chronicled the life cycle of the ideapad k1 tablet here on this site and up until recently there had been quite a few issues regarding bugs in lenovo’s software updates. Mostly do to their ambitious launcher and bevy of bloat applications. Some users update to find there data gone (back up first people). Well tonight I got the update that proves Lenovo is going to support their ideapad k1 tablet and they have made big strides in the quality of their software too. Silencing me and some other... Lenovo Ideapad K1 Root Achieved!

Ideapadftw

Cruising the Lenovo idea systems forum this morning I came across the video posted my one manson1978 below showing a rooted Lenovo Ideapad K1 tablet. If you have been following our ideapad coverage here you know this has been something we have been waiting for for quite some time now. I want custom ROMS and the UI on the ideapad is simply the best in my opinion and I can’t wait for developers to put their own spin on it. Good times but as of the availability of the exploit and how difficult... Read The Rest →

Video: K1 Problems? I solved mine, Here is how I did it!

Ideapadftw

Hey Lenovo What Gives? Well first let me say from my review and un-boxing you can find here and here respectively you know i’m a fan. Lenovo has tried to do some pretty inventive things with the tablets launcher. A couple are they added a task killer and a quick launcher accessible from the home screen. For this reason it’s got some cool perks that other tabs just don’t have or at least did not when it launched (netflix). Anyhow the ambitious launcher and software packed in with the... Lenovo ideapad k1 review from August 26 (th3volution.blogspot.com)

Well i have spent quite a few days with the Lenovo Idepad and Honeycomb (Android 3.1) and I think I’m finally ready to give my opinion on what is exactly right and what is exactly wrong with the Ideapad K. It should be noted I was slow to get a tablet. Mostly because I couldn’t make up my mind and also in part because I just wasn’t sold on the usefulness of one of the things when considering the bundle of money they are asking you to drop to get...
