LG’s New Devices MWC Preview Part 1

lg-logo

Well LG has been  mighty busy. Back when they released some fairly dismal earnings numbers for the quarter things were looking bleak. We began to wonder what they would do to reinvigorate the mobile arm of their company. Well going onto MWC LG is in need of some buzz and that’s exaclty what they have gone after with eight devices all leaked previous to the show. What better time for LG to show what they’ve got with Samsung voluntarily taking a back seat for this one. Below are all eight... Read The Rest →

New Sony UXP NXT UI for Xperia S Caught On Tape

Xperia_S_front

The Sony Xperia S is coming and along with the new flagship smart phone comes a new custom overlay. Now I’ve said it a couple times. Sony is the best in the world at the graphical user interface. The X Media Cross Bar is one of my favorite UI experiences and one of my biggest gripes with the new Vita handheld is that they seem to be moving away from it to an icon based system ala Android. That being said Timescape is awesome ( I often run the... Read The Rest →

Whats This ? HTC To Receive Playstation Certification For Their Devices?

PlayStation_Certified_thumb

According to Pocket-Lint HTC will soon be the only other OEM other than Sony themselves to have Play Station Certified devices.  This means that Sony made games will be available on HTC’s forthcoming handsets and perhaps as early as the Mobile World Congress. Already speculation is abound that this may mean a HTC phone with a slide out keyboard but I for one am more inclined to believe they will go the touch screen/blue tooth controller route. I have speculated for some time that Sony is really baking on... Read The Rest →

LG Optimus 3d 2 Images And Specs…Nuff Said

LG3D2

Mobile World Congress will bring a series of devices with the 2 suffix it almost always does. A lot of them disappoint and do not really equate to the leap that the “2″ would insinuate.  Take it from me as a lover of 3-D imagery and owner of the HTC EVO 3D what makes 3D work well is the display. With that in mind the Lg Optimus 3D 2 (Max?) seems to wear the “2″ well with it’s thinner 9.8 mm chasis and lower weight and its hi-res IPS display. LG... Read The Rest →

7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 Set For MWC, Ice Cream Included

SGS2

Why they are attaching the number two to this one I have no idea. Remember the Samsung Galaxy Tab Plus? Mobile World Congress will bring us a slew of new phones and tablets some of them worthy of the generation before them but this doesn’t seem to be one of them. Anyhow I will let you guys be the judge. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 will have a dual core 1Ghz processor, 1GB of RAM and HSPA+ connectivity. Cams you ask, dual cameras of the 3MP rear shooter and VGA... Asus Padfone Coming To Mobile World Congress

asuspadfone

The Asus Padfone is coming to Mobile World Congress  in Barcelona Spain next month according to invitations that were sent out by Asus. What is it? Well its a phone that powers a tablet and it’s one of the  more unique devices we will likely see for quite some time. Think Atrix tablet dock because it works in a very similar fashion. This is a novel concept in fact I wish I had thought of it myself lol. Anyhow just in case you haven’t seen it I placed Asus’ own take on the device below.... Read The Rest →

Lights, Camera, Ville: HTC Ville Video Pops Up With Sense 4.0

HTC-logo-2

UPDATE: The video has been made private at this time sorry folks. I’ll leave it here in case it comes available. I assure you the article is accurate however. I think showing off your MEID on an unreleased device may be not such a good idea.   Cruising the webs this morning I discovered that the HTC Ville has got a little camera time via htchub Youtube channel. You can see the embedded video below and what you will notice is the software its running is Ice Cream Sandwich and the mysterious Sense 4.0.... Read The Rest →

exynos-5250

BGR reported a while back a tidbit of info they got from one of their “trusted sources” concerning a mystery Samsung Tablet to be shown off at the forthcoming  Mobile World Congress.Though volume brings views we tend not to post many rumors until we cannot carefully check out. Well this morning I got an email from one of my “trusted sources” and they say yeah this one has legs. 2560 x 1600 resolution a display that blows 1080 p out of the frame (pun totally intended), 16:10 aspect ratio...
