Motorola Photon Q Pre-Orders Begin Who’s Getting One?

motophotonq

Sunday August 19th is the day for Motorola’s Photon Q. Many of my fellow Sprint buddies need a slider. It’s their main requirement aside from decent specs and  maybe Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on board. Motorola and Sprint has them covered with what is easily the most powerful slider available on the carrier.  It will be the first of Motorola’s handsets to offer an unlockable bootloader and that’s a big boon to flash-a-holics out there. The photon Q has features to match. Quoting Jkeen’s article on the unlockable... Read The Rest →

LG Eclipses The Big Boys With Sprint’s LG Eclipse, Specs Out Of This World

lg-eclipse

I own an HTC EVO 4G LTE and am quite proud to have the top phone on Sprint (arguably), especially if screen and camera matter to you, it simply cannot be bested in those categories. However, the LG Eclipse is coming and in the Android the top phone doesn’t stay the top phone for very long regardless of which carrier or OEM you prefer. Enter the LG Eclipse. Let’s just say the spec wars have begun again. The LG Eclipse is rumored to have the following specs: Quad Core Snapdragon... Read The Rest →

Sprint Motorola Photon Q Official and Will Feature Unlockable Bootloader!!!

motophotonq

The Motorola Photon Q has been floating around the internets for a while now. Today it was officially outed by Sprint and if you are a fan of QWERTY keyboards this may be right up your alley. The phone features a pretty damn nice spec list and unlike a lot of sliders out there,Moto did not skimp in the hardware department.  The phone features a 4.3″ qHD display with Colorboost technology, yes that is the largest display you can currently get on an Android Slider right now. The Q also features... Read The Rest →

Minor Sprint G-Nex Update Incoming

sprint-galaxy-nexus-2

If you are a Sprint Galaxy Nexus owner  you will be seeing a minor update coming in just like the guys over at Verizon. Software version L700.FG01 is what it’s called and what it brings is a brand new received signal strength indicator, Sprint T.V. support, and will turn WiFi and LTE default. Tomorrow June 26th is the date (according to TechnoBuffalo) but of course you can check (or perhaps even force) the update. No it’s not JellyBean we know you need that Jelly goodness but right now there... Read The Rest →

Sprint Brings 4G LTE To Kansas, Other Markets To Follow This Week

sprint-lte

Well it’s about time. We’re not in Kansas anymore (pun totally intended) so we cannot reap the benefits of Sprint LTE speeds on our EVO 4G LTE here where I live in RDU but if you happen to reside in the show me state or Kansas for that matter. Then you are getting some really awesome LTE speeds right now. Of course the fifteenth is the official on-switch date for Sprint’s fledgling high speed network. St. Joseph, Missouri and Manhattan Kansas and sorrounding areas should also be catching some great LTE... Read The Rest →

EVO 4G LTE Lands And Hits The Airwaves With This Great Ad

HTC-EVO-4G-LTE

I love the EVO 4G LTE. There I said it. I also love this commercial. A well deserved celebration of the EVO line that so many people have tried and loved. Anyway if you haven’t caught it here is the first EVO LTE T.V. spot. A lot of people hate this phone for whatever reason they call it weak and etc but I guarantee you there is not a worthy phone currently available and even if that does not make you feel good perhaps this wonderful ad will. Later folks….    ... Read The Rest →

Inside Sprint Now Reports Good News For Those Waiting For The Evo To Land

hero_960x560

Inside Sprint Now has been around for about three years now and this guy/girl has been the subject of internal mole hunts at Sprint for leaking information from the inside. Today he has done it again and in a huge way. Though still unable to post links on XDA Developers the mysterious blogger has been dropping in the official shipping rumors thread that I started over there (i’m the OP) giving us up to the minute info on the situation surrounding the EVO 4G LTE delay fiasco. Since we started... Read The Rest →

HTC-EVO-4G-LTE

UPDATE: This article was written before the injunction trouble and is referring to Monday the 14 th not Monday the 21 st Well, I have been ducking the fray thus far on this phone because very few sites are actually giving out any new information and I thought why rehash the same speculative stories and etc. However, a Sprint source just notified me via email to inform me that the folks who pre-ordered from Sprint and Sprint only would see there orders begin to ship on Monday. He also... Read The Rest →

Sprint Loses 255 Million, Touts Subscriber Growth

sprint-lte

Sprint’s financial numbers were not great by any stretch but they were far better than expected. The numbers include an operating loss for the quarter of 255 million with almost half of this (104 million) going into the deployment of  Network Vision. I thought I would also chime in on the LTE questions regarding Sprint that I have been receiving. Sprint is still on track to have LTE up on 12,000 cites by the end of the year with work already beginning on a quarter of them. In... Read The Rest →

Internal Sprint Document Shows Insurance Is Going Up For All LTE Devices

Sprint TEP Poloicy

Sprint has increased the price of it’s Total Equipment Protection (insurance) Program for LTE devices. It is going up approximately 3 bucks  from around $8 to $11 and the deductible for such phones has gone up considerably as well from around $150 for the average high end handset to around $2oo for any of Sprint’s new LTE handsets. This is admittedly an inconvenience as the monthly rate has already increased once the end of 2011 but with Sprint’s unlimited data rates remaining the same it’s a inconvenience I think we should grin and bare....
