AT&T and Verizon Report Pretty Drastic Decreases In iPhone Activations
According to Giga OM ATT got the same bad news regarding iPhone activations as Verizon did last week and here’s how those numbers look for them: ATT reported in the June Quarter that it activated 3.7 million iPhones 22% were new subscribers which is a 14% decrease from the same quarter last year Verizon indicated 2.7 million iPhone activations Verizon saw a 15.6% decrease Interestingly iPhone still dominates overall activations for the two carriers (at least according to them) and even the source article fails to mention Android as the reason for a decrease in... Verizon Begins Lighting 4G LTE Up In More Midwest Markets
We can confirm for you this morning that Verizon has begun lighting up select markets in the mid west. Peoria and Pekin Illinois now have 4G LTE coverage as of last night. So as usual first come the blurry cam shots, then leaked release dates, and now thanks to Droid-Life, full details are in the wild on the Motorola Droid 4. So before you get too excited the ad does not have a release date for us. It does however go a long ways towards confirming the price of the upcoming phone. Looks like Samsung’s latest superphone will set you back $199 with a new two-year activation. This is alot cheaper than Verizon’s other top-tier LTE offerings which usually run $299.
